Le nuove esperienze professionali nascono durante l'apparentemente inarrestabile sviluppo del fenomeno del "porno chic" e ciò lo porta ben presto, non tra poche difficoltà operative e legali, ad ampliare la propria attività alongside some of the most important production companies up to be the first in the U.S. to start producing movies directly on magnetic media for later repayment on videotape and then no longer use the expensive and operationally complex film with subsequent transition to telecine.
David Jennings focuses on the technical but also operation involving the transition from film to tape citing aspects perhaps unknown to most. In fact, if all of them refer to the cost of the camera and pelicola, but many forget the cost and difficulties for the market to find labs that were available to create and then internegatives copies in print. These difficulties often determined the low quality of the loop and a remarkable ability of criminal groups control the market through its own laboratories. Another particular
Jennings believes that revolutionary after he moved from video to 16mm is the possibility of long records that make easier the subjective camera. First with 16mm film cameras were only available power for 100 or 400 feet, respectively, with autonomy of 3 or 12 minutes before the boarding scene forced to change the magazine. With the video are possible, at least in theory, keep shooting for hours.
So if it is true that the technical means does not replace the person is also true that certain methods allow the creation of new technical solutions for recovery. The birth in these transitional years of gonzo, in my opinion they have the evidence.
The book, the result of transcription of 342 audio cassettes that over time the author has registered and jealously guarded, not only recounts the experience on the set of a film director who begins to operate in complete lawlessness, but also the development of a ' activities (with the first mark and then with Superior VCX Video Inc.) in a situation where it is combined with the tolerance of the authorities and instead the merciless fight against the pornography business undertaken and pursued by other local and national agencies.
! There is the story of professional experience with several very popular actresses at that time between them and Tracy Lords, which gave birth, due to be entered in the business still a minor, perhaps the biggest scandal in the world of pornography that he nearly did not lead to its complete destruction by the government authorities and American judiciary.
This is accompanied by the narration of personal events with very large swings between moments of happiness and sadness, or fear that marked the author's life in those years.
particular interest is the story of what is called a real "war on porn" that began in the mid 80's by some feminist and religious groups and then taken up by the Reagan administration with the creation of the much famous as infamous Meese Commission. " War which, among other things, develops into a deep economic crisis (courses and resorts Vico memory when compared to the present day?) American porn due to the passage of all products resulting from film to video cost reduction, production and proliferation of decisive as relentless inflation of the market with a consequent drop in peak sales.
It was during this period the author, and not only him, will have to pass the worst moments of his life living in some moments of real hiding, always terrified of being hunted by police and arrested, until deciding to leave a once and for all the company sold its assets.

Highly recommended. Hello
